1: Plan Ahead, Stay Flexible

Go through each month in 2024 and make note of any significant dates, occasions, or themes relevant to your business, like product launches. This includes obvious holidays like Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, as well as occasions specific to your niche. Planning content around these events well in advance will make execution much smoother. Don’t forget to build in a degree of flexibility, so you can adapt to changing circumstances or unforeseen opportunities.

2: Understand Your Customer

Deeply understanding your customer’s mindset throughout the year enables you to create relatable and timely content. Consider their lifestyle, challenges, and interests, adjusting your strategy to meet their evolving needs.

For instance, target mothers in May/June leading up to busy summer months, as they may not have the bandwidth to think about some purchases during the Summer.

3: Focus on Engagement, Not Just Sales

While sales are important, engagement is key. Create a mix of content that includes educational, entertaining, and community-building posts alongside promotional ones.

4: Leverage User-Generated Content

Encourage your customers to share their experiences with your products. Authentic user-generated content builds trust and showcases real-life use of your range.  It’s always nice to see a real person using a product!

5: Revitalise Older Products

Don’t hesitate to bring older products back into the spotlight. Highlighting your journey or the significance of these products can rekindle interest and attract new customers. You don’t always need to be sharing something new!

6: Measure Channel Performance

Review social media channel data regularly. Identify which channels drive the most website traffic and engagement. Then double down on the top channels rather than spreading yourself thin. Be aware of trends – remember Clubhouse and Threads? You can take your time to see how the new platform performs before deciding to embrace it.

7: Embrace Video Content

TikTok though is here to stay, and incorporating video content into your strategy can significantly boost engagement and reach. Content can easily be repurposed across multiple platforms.

8: Influencer Collaborations

Partnering with micro-influencers who resonate with your brand can be more beneficial than working with larger influencers. Their closer connection with their audience often leads to higher engagement rates.

9: Consistency is Key

Maintain a consistent posting schedule. Determine a frequency that works for you and stick to it, as regular activity helps with algorithm favorability and audience retention.
