With the Summer in full swing, now might not seem like the obvious time to think about your Amazon listings. But if you can carve out even a small pocket of time, this can be one of the best moments to get ahead of the curve – especially with Q4 just around the corner.

Here’s how to make a few smart tweaks now that could lead to stronger visibility and better conversions come September and beyond.

1. Dig into your performance reports

Most sellers only look at their sales numbers – but there’s so much more insight hiding in your reports. Check your top-selling SKUs, look at your conversion rates, and spot any listings that are underperforming.

If you have products that convert well but aren’t getting enough traffic, that’s a good sign they might benefit from better images, more relevant keywords or even an ad campaign.

2. Audit your inventory

For FBA sellers, summer is a great time to clear out old or excess stock. Amazon’s Inventory Performance Dashboard will show you which products are moving too slowly (and racking up storage fees) or where you need to restock ahead of the peak season.

Also check for stranded listings – these can often be fixed in a few clicks and might be costing you sales.

3. Refresh your listings

Even if your listings are technically fine, giving them a little summer makeover can go a long way. Rerun your keyword research, swap in fresh images, and rewrite bullet points with benefits in mind.

Tip: customer reviews are a goldmine. If people keep mentioning a feature they love (or a confusion they had), use that to inform your copy.

4. Stay on top of account health

This is something that can slip off the radar but is essential. Check for suppressed listings, negative feedback, or policy flags – and deal with them early. Even small fixes can prevent bigger problems later.

5. Review your advertising strategy

Summer is often quieter on the platform – but that also means less competition and potentially lower ad costs. Take a look at your Sponsored Products campaigns, optimise bids and keywords, and test new formats like Sponsored Brands or video ads.
